I was unable to attend Saturday but have managed to get the results anyway.

Brea's Shawn "Maddog" McConnell won both main events on Saturday's summer season opener. Gary Hicks finished second in both mains. In the scratch main Bobby Schwartz finished 3rd, Randy DiFransesco was fourth and Charlie Venegas was fifth.

In the Handicap main Brad Oxley was third, DiFransesco fourth, John Aden finished fifth, Dukie Ermolenko was sixth followed by Robbie sauer and Venegas.

I wish I could have been there to see the racing but I will be back this week. It was nice to see that my early pick for most improved rider made both mains. Randy DiFransesco has improved by leaps and bounds over the last 4 or 5 weeks of racing. Keep an eye on Randy he could be a spoiler at the Nationals this year. I don't mean to say he will win it this year but he could spoil a few others chances by taking away some much needed points.
