VENEGAS JUMPS INTO VICTORY

I don't know what happened to the So Cal heat wave, But then again
I don't miss it. Tonight under cloudy cold skies Charlie "the edge"
Venegas made his return to the Costa Mesa bullring. The Edge managed
to make it into both main events and jumped into victory in the handicap
main. I say jumped because that is exactly what he did. Charlie was
well on the gas and 15-20 yards past his starting spot when the tapes
went up. Somehow the reff managed to miss it. Charlie only had another
10 yards to make up on Charlie Cooley before taking the lead. That
happend before the third lap. From there "The Edge" was able to cruise
to the checkered flag. In scratch racing Bobby Schwartz got the gate
and never looked back making easy work of the rest of the field.
Missing from tonights racing was John Aden, Robert Pfetzing and Jason Chism.
I don't know about the other two but Aden was in the stands with me
getting another two weeks off for rules violations. He will be back
on the 23rd. Speaking of rule violations, It will be interesting to see
what plays out from Eddie Castro's little mishap. Eddie was DQed in his
scratch heat for touching the tapes. It was a good call. After a brief
meeting with the ref, Castro left the track. Only when he left he rode
through the starting tapes breaking them all. No it was not a boo boo.
OK rules commity it yours now. I had the pleasure of meeting
in the stands. Ken is a reader of my page and it was very nice to meet a reader.
I would like to meet more. I will be missing next weeks racing for my wifes
birthday. I will however get the results posted somehow.
