It's Schwartz night again

When Bobby Schwartz finally does retire, I think Costa Mesa should have
an annual Bobby Schwartz Night. In his 23rd or 24th season of racing he has again proven
he is not close to being to old. Going off the 40 yard line Schwartz pulled to the front
of the pack with relative ease. There was time when Bobby was not exactly a crowd favorite
and he still may not be but, Nobody can claim the success Bobby has had over the many years.
Winning State championships, National championships and even world championships are on
Bobby's resume. Saturday night was the summer season opener at Costa Mesa Speedway and also
marked the return of Gary Hicks. I don't know where he has been but I'll bet he's been
riding hard. Hicks totally dominated the scratch side of the program and captured the main event.
I was able to enjoy watching my little nephew race on the PW50's at intermission.
He got second place. Howie from RAZ VIDEO filmed the
race and even interviewed Stephen after it was over. He made the kids night let me tell ya.
If you want a special video made, Maybe your child is racing, Call Howie and for a low cost he
will produce a masterpeice. You can link to him from my page.
My race report will be very short this week. I am having some pretty major problems
with my computer. This is wy my report is in so late. Hopfully I will find a guru soon to
fix it for me.
